A source close to Jamal Coombs-McDaniel is reporting that Coombs-McDaniel has indeed been cleared to play in Friday’s opener vs William & Mary.  Look for an official announcement on Tuesday…

So he has not played in either exhibition? What are we expecting out of this guy?

Big things…kid can flat out play…can score from anywhere on the court..a real solid looking 3…he will immediately be put into rotation…will spell Stanley at the 3…and if Robinson needs to play a little 4, he and JCM can be on the court at the same time….

Top 100 recruit last year…ESPN had him as the #5 SF, Rivals.com had him at the #9 SF, and Scout.com had him as the #15 SF.

wow. Did not realize he was that highly recruited. Is this the kid from Mass?

Correct, although he played his high school ball at Tilton in NH.
Same school as Alex Oriakhi, and also red-shirting freshman defensive back Chris Lopes (Brockton)…
