Not a good night for the Alums…

The Nets fell to the Magic, 72-88.  Poor New Jersey…My goodness, 0-9.  The Nets Played well in the first quarter, leading 27-23 after one.  Then the wheels came off…They scored 15, 14, and 16 points, in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters, respectively.  Yikes…Awful offensive output.  Josh Boone only played 5 minutes in this one, and did not score.

Atlanta stunned the Celts, 97-86.  The Celts fell at home, for the second consecutive Friday…Hmmm..and next Friday they play at home vs Orlando…Interesting.  The C’s went 1-15 from behind the arc in this one…Awesome.  Ray Allen scored 10 points on a solid 5-8 shooting, but has still yet to find his stroke from downtown…he was 0-2 from deep, from which he is now shooting just .325…

Another game, another loss for New Orleans…78-86, at home to the Trail Blazers.  The Hornets, who had high expectations coming into this season, find themselves at 3-7.  Who shall they fire now? To make things worse, Chris Paul sprained his ankle, and he has already said he won’t play in Saturday’s match-up vs the Hawks…Disastrous start to the season for New Orleans.  Emeka Okafor, who started hot, is struggling lately.  I can’t help but wonder if he’s healthy.  He missed the preseason with a toe…and he just doesn’t seem himself…7 points and 4 rebounds in this one, albeit in just 25 minutes…Hilton Armstrong only got 4 minutes in this one, scoring 2 points on 1-1 shooting, and posting an assist, a rebound, and a block.

There’s always tomorrow…
