Ray Allen scored a season high 27 points in Tuesday night’s 108-90 win over the Bobcats. Allen has been struggling from three all year, but tonight was lights out…shooting 5 of 6. Boston improved to 14-4 with the win, good for a tie with Orlando for the best record in the East. The C’s are back in action Thursday night in San Antonio.
The Wizards won for the third time in four games with a 106-102 victory over the Raptors. Caron Butler scored 19 points on 6 of 12 shooting, and added 7 boards, 3 steals and a block. Washington is right back at it tomorrow night vs Milwaukee.
The Hornets fell to 7-11, and 1-9 on the road, following their 110-99 loss to the Lakers. The good news is that Emeka Okafor, for the second straight game played very well, and appears to be coming out of a mini-slump. Okafor scored 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 2 more shots. Solid. Hilton Armstrong scored 3 points and posted 6 rebounds in just 13 minutes. The Hornets are looking forward to some home cooking on Friday night vs the 2-15 T-Wolves.
