Kion Wilson leads the Bulls with 98 tackles

It looks like the South Florida offensive line will be shorthanded in Saturday night’s showdown.  The Bulls starting center, 6’1″ 314 lb Sampson Genus, is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury.  If Genus can’t go, he will be backed up by 6’2″ 295 lb Sophomore Kevin McCaskill, who has never started a game.

The Bulls may also be without senior linebacker and leading tackler, Kion Wilson.  Wilson has 98 tackles this year, but injured his ankle in last week’s 31-10 loss to Miami.  He is said to be improving, and will travel with the team to East Hartford…Wilson will be a game time decision.  If he can’t go, true freshman LB Sam Barrington will start in his place.  Barrington has 31 tackles this year, and has impressed the USF staff… head coach Jim Leavitt was quoted as saying Barrington was the best freshman linebacker in his tenure at USF.    Barrington had offers to play at Miami (FL),  Illinois, and Purdue.
