The Special Teams Player of the Year award went to junior fullback, and Captain, Anthony Sherman. Sherman totalled 21 tackles on special teams, many of them punishing hits.
Senior cornerback, and Captain, Robert McClain was given the The Brian Kozlowski Award (Courage, hard work, productive). McClain had 60 tackles and 4 interceptions, as a well as a punt return for a touchdown at Cincinnati.
