Off the Schneid!  The Pistons snapped a 13 game losing streak with a 99-90 win over the Wizards.  Charlie Villanueva had a team high 23 points and 9 boards, and Richard Hamilton scored 19.  Caron Butler scored 14 points in a losing effort.   Ben Gordon missed this one with a strained right groin.  The Pistons improved to 12-25 and will host Emeka Okafor and the Hornets Friday night.  The 12-24 Wizards will visit the Hawks Wednesday night.

Whacky one in Memphis…The Grizzlies outlasted the Clippers 104-102, but that wasn’t the story.  A water main break forced a full building evacuation late in the 3rd quarter.  The players hung out on the team buses until the coast was clear.  Memphis was actually down double digits for most of the game, but used a 25-12 4th quarter to complete the comeback and improve to 19-18.  Rudy Gay scored 24 points on 9-16 shooting, and grabbed 6 boards.  Hasheem Thabeet was held scoreless in 6 minutes and Marcus Williams DNPCD. The Grizz will host the T-Wolves Friday night.
