UConn’s Brown Tries to Become Third Player in School History to Reach the Super Bowl

Did you know that if Donald Brown and the Indianapolis Colts were to reach the Super Bowl, Brown would become the third player in school history to do so?

Brian Kozlowski, who played 14 seasons as a tight end in the NFL between 1994 and 2007 (NYG, ATL, WAS), amassed 85 receptions for 978 yards and 8 touchdowns during his pro career.   Brian became just the second player in school history to play in the Super Bowl, when he and Falcons faced John Elway and the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII.  Kozlowski had one catch for five yards in a 34-19 loss.

Nick Giaquinto, who to this day holds the UConn single game rushing record with 277 yards, played in not one, but two Super Bowls, and is the only Super Bowl Champion in school history.  Giaquinto played four seasons in the NFL between 1980 and 1983, and played in both Super Bowl XVII  and XVIII as a Redskin.  Nick is the head baseball coach at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, a post he’s held for 21 seasons.

Interesting. I will route for Donald when he has the ball but will have a hard time routing for the colts.
