According to a tweet Thursday night, C.J. Leslie, the 4# power forward in the class of 2010 according to Rivals.com,  will be visiting UConn this weekend.  Rivals ranks C.J. the #14 player overall in the class, while ESPN.com rankes him the #5 PF and the #11 player overall.  Leslie has apparently trimmed his list to UConn, NC State and Kentucky.  Getting Leslie on campus improves the Huskies’ chances with him immensely.  Conventional wisdom had CJ following his good friend Brandon Knight to Kentucky, but that’s not necessarily the case.  While Leslie would like to play with Brandon, it won’t be the ultimate deciding factor.  The Huskies could use a late coup here, and Leslie would be just that.

Imagine a starting five next season of Kemba Walker, Shabazz Napier, Roscoe Smith, CJ Leslie and Alex Oriakhi?   The Huskies are still in the mix for Cory Joseph as well…stay tuned…

When are Joseph and Leslie expected to make a decision?

Jason, Leslie was quoted as saying he'll be making his decision "Shortly" after his final visit…which we can safely assume will be his trip to Storrs.

Joseph said the following on April 17th – “I don’t have any official date set yet when I’m going to announce, but as soon I feel 100 percent, it should be soon,”
He went home to Toronto this week, which leads you to believe he may be discussing his options with his family, and that a decision could be forthcoming…

Kid is no doubt a player, now, can we win a recruiting battle against Calipari is the question…NC State is also very much in play because Leslie is from NC, and has known the head coach there (Lowe) for 5 years…so they have a personal relationship…
