Ray Allen scored a game high 25 points as the Celtics hung on to beat Orlando 92-88. Boston led by 16 after three but the Magic whittled it all the way down to two late. Ray Allen hit two free throws with 6 seconds remaining to push it back to four, and put the game out of reach. Allen was 8-16 from the floor, 2-5 from three, 7-7 from the stripe and had 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Paul Pierce and Rasheed Wallace were the only other two Celtics in double figures in this one, scoring 22 and 13 respectively.
Defense was once again the story as the Celtics held the Magic to just 41.6% shooting, and held Dwight Howard to just 13 points on 3-10 shooting. Rasheed Wallace deserves a ton of credit for keeping Howard in check. Jameer Nelson scored 20 points on 8-18 shooting and Vince Carter scored a team high 23.
The series resumes Tuesday night in Orlando at 8:30 (ESPN).

Lets hope Ray Ray keeps it going tonight. Redeeming himself for the atrocious offense in last years series against the Magic.
39 minutes 4 points. Way to put the jinx on.
I was going to tell you you were a mush…but they won, so you are forgiven.
