DeLorenzo rushed for 2,154 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2009

Berlin (CT) High School running back Max DeLorenzo has committed to the Huskies. He had a huge junior season for Berlin, rushing 267 times for 2,154 yards (8.07 ypc) and 26 touchdowns, and catching 15 passes for 228 yards and two more TD’s.
He was named All-State (Class M) by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association, and was also named All-State by the New Haven Register. Gaudy High School numbers aside, he also performed well on the camp circuit. He was one of the top junior performers at last year’s Rivals.com Five Star Showdown in Stamford, and reportedly ran a 4.44 forty at Duke’s Camp.
In addition to interest from UConn, DeLorenzo was hearing from Syracuse, Boston College, Duke and others.
