Endres threw for 1300+ yards and 6 TD's last season

Official Release :

University of Connecticut redshirt junior quarterback Cody Endres (Washington, Pa.) and redshirt sophomore offensive guard Erik Kuraczea (Ansonia, Conn.) have been suspended  indefinitely from the football team due to a violation of University of Connecticut and Division of Athletics policies.

There will be no further comment on this matter.

Steve Greene will likely back up Olivier

Instant Reaction :  Kuraczea wasn’t going to start but this loss does hurt depth.  Should Matthew Olivier go down things could get interesting at left guard.  Steve Greene, a redhirt freshman who chose the Huskies over Minnesota, UCF, Marshall and others, is in line for the back up left guard position.   Greene was rated three stars by Rivals.com and ranked the # 41 offensive guard in the nation his senior year.

The Endres loss could be enormous.  Should Frazer go down, as he has in each of his first two seasons, the Huskies will likely look to redshirt freshman Mike Box or perhaps even speedy (and short) Leon Kinnard.   Endres was probably the best back-up quarterback in the Big East.  This is a huge loss…

Of course, “suspended indefinitely” does not necessarily mean for the entire season.
