It’s been about 20 minutes since our UConn Huskies beat those god forsaken Orange-men. Revenge though, revenge is sweet. Revenge for six overtimes. Revenge for all the losses since. Revenge for the loss just a short time ago at the XL Center. Revenge my friends; revenge is so, so sweet.
This is going to be a short one since a whole Big East Tournament article is in the making. I thought this game deserved a special mentioning though.
Some of you may remember me saying I hate Syracuse. More specifically, “I HATE Syracuse. I hate Jim Boeheim, I hate their obnoxious colors, I hate their pansy zone defense, I hate the Carrier Dome, and I hate every player to ever come through that school (especially you Eric Devendorf.)” Needless to say if there is one person in the world that HATES the Orange, it’s this guy.
If someone told me “Dylan, would you take a loss at home to Syracuse if you could have the opportunity to bounce the Orange in the semis of the Big East Tournament?” My answer would be “Good god yes.” We won the one that counts. We won the one people will remember. And what’s it mean? It means everything. Kemba shows he is the best player in the nation (Jimmer, you’re good, but you don’t and can’t do what Kemba does.) UConn shows they are LEGIT. But now, I’m getting into a whole other subject. So let it suffice to say Syracuse; have fun crying your way all the way back to up-state New York. Your tears are delicious.
Who cares who we have tomorrow? Whoever they are should be dearly afraid. U-C-O-N-N UCONN UCONN UCONN.
